Check your curb appeal:
Does your home make a great first impression?
A home with great curb appeal will attract potential buyers.
Make your front inviting, plant a few flowers in attractive pots to liven up the entrance.

Brighten rooms:
Shades in white account for half of all paint sales. It is clean, restful and all furnishings look good with white. Also, consider painting the walls, ceilings and windowsills in each room with the same color.
This strategy works best when the windowsills are small or the molding is unremarkable, it will make the room appear larger.
Remove clutter:
To make your home appear larger remove all clutter. When buyers walk through the front of your home they want to see clean spacious area that affords them plenty of living space.
Depersonalize, remove family photos; a buyer may get distracted looking at family photos or knickknacks preventing them looking at your beautiful home.

Organize:
People buy homes that appear clean, spacious and solid. Many buyers will look in your closets and pantry.
To make these areas appear more spacious organize your closets by putting away out of season coats and neatly folding your clothes.
Organize the pantry by giving an orderly appearance. This is not a time to consider installing closet organizers. Instead purchase shoe organizers and sweater racks.
Re-evaluate room use:
A rarely used guest bedroom can be converted into a den or office space. Fill in empty corners: Place a large potted tree in the corner.
Lighten up the corner by positioning a canister light on the floor behind the plant, pointing upwards into the plant or toward the ceiling.
Refurbish cabinets:
A quick and adorable way to give your kitchen and bathroom cabinets an instant face-lift is to replace the hardware.
You can also repaint the cabinets a lighter color to brighten the space.
Re-grout and reseal the tub:
If the tile is or the tub are from a different era or look dated, glazing them can be an inexpensive way to give the room a new look. Add new towels and hang a new shower curtain. Remove soap scum or hard water stains with a tile cleaner to give the tile new life.
Get rid of heavy drapes:
Replace with fabrics that blend with the surrounding walls.
Add tiebacks on each side. Replace heavy fabric drapes with sheers.
Replace worn and dated bedspreads:
New crisp linens or a comforter with matching pillows will liven up any bedroom. Tone down colors, soft, neutral colors appeal to everyone.
